The rising star has substantial online audience
The young golfer can count on plenty of well-known supporters as she makes her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and regularly matches against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she stated.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa basically told me to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in only three events in 2024 and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
But she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He represents the best player in the world," Kai expressed.
"And he's an even better individual. He told me to go out there, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face several the biggest names in women's golf at this tournament, such as world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA commented that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to wider groups, specifically reaching younger fans.
Kai has millions of followers and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness label.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
