Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

A jet ferrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down based on established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer said in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This event is not the initial instance that a American defense plane carrying a top government figure has encountered technical problems.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was required to return to the US capital after encountering a mechanical fault.
